In 2017, the Thomas family established Happy Valley Vineyards with a simple vision: to create exceptional wines that reflect the character of our vineyard and the place we call home. As a small family-owned winery, we believe that great wine doesn’t need to be made in great quantities. Our focus is on farming our single vineyard thoughtfully, producing limited quantities and giving each vintage the attention it deserves.

Tricia and Steven Thomas planted their vineyard in 2014 and welcomed their first vintage in 2017. Living on the property, they share a deep, personal connection to the land and the vineyard and take a hands-on approach to every growing season.

We are proud to work with renowned Napa Valley winemaker Francisco Vega, whose experience, precision and craftsmanship help us translate the unique character of our Happy Valley vineyard into elegant, expressive wines. Together, we take a thoughtful approach: letting the vineyard lead and allowing the character of each vintage to shine through.
THE GENERAL MANAGER
Planting the Future
Katie Thomas holds a degree in Agricultural Business and Wine and Viticulture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and spent nine years working in Napa’s wine industry before becoming a mother to her two boys. Today, she brings her experience and passion for wine to Happy Valley Vineyards, where she oversees all aspects of the winery’s operations.
